Fleet Week 2008
Our First overnight stay in Aquatic Park, carrying the dinghy across the Embarcadero a first I am sure.
Ross A Roni was purchased in October 2007, her original name was "The Empress". So far she has been sailed barely out of the San Francisco bay. We have ventured under the Golden Gate only once! We are working our way all over the San Francisco Bay, before we set sail to Pillar Point. I grew up in Half Moon Bay, and plan to sail to Pillar Point within the next couple of months.
My crew will be made up of my family...Veronica, David, Amanda, and I am sure my father Mike. Although I am not sure how much help I will get from Mike and David since I am sure they both will try to have a fishing pole in the water.
I recently had a day full of Boating 101 Misadventures, with allowing a line to fall into the water and entangle in my prop. Within 15 minutes a great day on the bay turned into another one of those never forget moments. The main sail got stuck in the lazy jacks, the boom swang over striking me and sending me flying, and we gently came into contact with a pier...5 hours later when the diver came to the rescue we were on our way back home! It has been said that owning a sailboat is merely throwing money into the water...I would have to agree, although I cost myself that day. Well live and learn.

Paragraph.
Ayala Cove, Angel Island Trip
Our first trip that we docked at the Cove. The boys tried to fish in 20 knot winds as we where whistling across the slot at 7 knots. It was a great blaze across the bay. Only 1 hour from the Bay Bridge to the Cove. Our return trip was just as fast. We had no major catastrophies on this trip. We learned how to dock side by side another boat. I love doing something for the first time, that could really cost me or become a really embarrassing situation.
